Gift certificate question please

We wanted to but some NCl gift certificates for friends cruising with us on the Pearl in March. It is their 25th wedding anniversary.

 

My question is, can these certificates be put on their shipboard account to defer costs of pics, drinks, excursions, t-shirts etc.?

I did this recently for my mom's 80th on the Pearl. Just call NCL's Bon Voyage Gift Number (1.866.625.1166) and they can set you up with a $25, $50, $75, or $100 shipboard credit. They place a note in the room with a message from the sender alerting them of the gift. Thank you for your quick reply...I will try calling the number and having the certificates sent to me....we want to include them in a anniversary card before we go.
