Glory Tours on Barbados

For any future cruisers who are taking Windsurf out of Barbados and want to go on an island tour that is, like Windstar, "180* From Ordinary," I highly recommend, without any reservation, Glory Tours. We have traveled the world and taken many tours, but Sarah at Glory Tours has to have been one of the best tour guides we have ever experienced. She designed the full-day tour to OUR wishes. We wanted to see green monkeys and crashing waves, visit old plantations for tea, and dine with the natives--and we got all that and more! The price was excellent for what we received--a truly memorable full day in lovely Barbados designed especially for us.

We used Glory both in 2006 and last month, when we had the owner, Sarah, for a ship to airport tour. We had the "A Touch of Splendour" tour, which she did on a Sunday morning even though the tour is listed as an afternoon tour. (The idea of the afternoon time is to see green monkeys, and we saw them anyway in the morning). One of us walked outside the port and met Sarah; then she picked up the other, plus our bags, and gave us the tour. When we finished way too early to go to the airport, she gave us an extra attraction: the Northern tip of the Island. All of that for two people, for much less than the pedestrian Windstar tour that would have taken us to places we saw in 2006. Highly recommended!
