Read about the Boatyard...

Sounds great for the price. Couple questions though...

About how much are the waverunner and other activities not included in the entrance price?

It looks like theres going to be 4 ships in port that day. Is it going to be too crowded??? We dont mind a crowd, but dont want it to be so bad we cant enjoy any of the activities or get chairs or anything.

Please, any information or reviews would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks

We just returned from the Destiny and a stop in Barbados. There were

at least 5 ships in port as well. There is a shuttle right outside ship

(its a long long pier) that will take you to where the cruise terminal/shopping/taxis. We went to Boatyard $ 5.00 taxi ride (we had 15 or

so in our group), but I have heard others say $ 3.00. We were approached

by taxi guy asked where we were heading and tried to discourage us

from going to Boatyard and said the jet skiing is illegal there. We were

meeting people there so we insisted to be taken there. Obviously, he

wanted to take us to another beach (forgotten the name). We had a

blast at Boatyard $ 15.00 gets you in, a pina colada or strawberry daiquiri

and a ride back to the ship. My boys and nieces rented the jet skis for

$ 40.00 for 1/2 hour. As soon as we arrived on the beach we were approached by a couple of guys selling snorkeling and water sports. They

started out at $ 50 and my son talked them down. The 20 somethings

loved the atmosphere at this beach!! They had a bungee contest running in

the sand to get a bottle of beer of a bar stool, volleyball and a scavenger hunt. And what a beautiful beach this is..

blue water like I have never seen and calm!! It was crowded, but we never

felt crowded. Hope this helps.

We were there a couple years ago and just loved it - best beach day ever and we've been on 12 cruises! We also took a taxi from the ship - it's only about 10 minutes away. The admission cost gets you a climbing wall in the ocean, a huge water trampoline, kayaks, jumping rope from the dock, a chair with umbrella and I think a free coupon for drink or something. I think we got an order of yummy french fries. We didn't rent jet skis, too busy with the other things, but I know you could rent them because they were lining them up near where we were sitting. We got there early, shortly after we docked so we were able to get chairs and umbrellas right up front - there were 9 of us. It did fill up later in the day but didn't bother us at all. All beaches in the Caribbean are busy. You will have a blast there - don't miss it. We're going again in Jan. 09. :D

Thanks for clearing things up for me. I had been on their site before, but since they did not offer prices and they called it a "package," I wasn't sure if that was what 15 bucks was going to get me or if it was an upgrade. Great to see it's all included. Now I see why everyone raves about what a good deal it is! We'll be there on March 27th...anyone else?
