wraithe Posted January 12, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 12, 2008 Suggestions, yes, if you really want booze onboard and that's what you're asking about, then grow some courage and attempt to smuggle, if you get it onboard, greaaaaattttt, hooooray for your side. If you don't, then don't be mad, cause the rules say you aren't allowed to bring booze onboard. It's never happened yet, but there is the potential that attempting to save 20 bucks by smuggling booze onboard, could cost you several thousand dollars as you wave from the pier while your ship sets sail into the sunset. If you're willing to take that chance, then go for it. I doubt that's the suggestion you were looking for, but it's the only real suggestion anyone can offer. Retired LEO Posted January 12, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 12, 2008 I may be wrong but it seems that on my previous cruises there were plenty of bars onboard.
jmmcruiser Posted January 13, 2008 #6 Share Posted January 13, 2008 Sure, go for it many many do. Just smile nicely if they x-ray it and take it - could happen but unlikely or do what many here do and leave no doubt. Use these.. rumrunnerflasksDOTcom. Work great. Lots of happy customers on these boards. Sidebar... Is it just me or do the same people respond in the usual way to these types of posts? Please stop with the "just be aware RCCL could refuse to let you board" refrain, yeah its in the contract and has been for some time - WE GET IT. It has been posted thousands of times on these boards alone. You've done your duty we get it. IT HAS NEVER HAPPENED AND WILL NEVER HAPPEN, SO WHY CONTINUE TO BRING IT UP EVERY TIME? Get caught (doubtful) they will take it from you, oh and they failed to mention they give your bottle back to you at the end of the cruise - a far cry from refusing boarding. RCCL's policy is all about money, always follow the money. Enjoy your cruise and have fun, thats my advice for you.:D

Parrotheadtoo Posted January 13, 2008 #8 Share Posted January 13, 2008 Hello All We just returned from a New Years Eve cruise on the Grandeur of the Seas. Our tablemates had two bottles of wine that were confiscated from their suitcase. They didn't receive their suitcases, and had to call to find out the news... This cruise did have additional security due to a past president of the USA on board with his family. We saw passengers carrying closed 12 packs of soda or cases of water though.
