MarinerBride Posted May 21, 2008 #26 Share Posted May 21, 2008 We just ordered a small cake through TWE/RR for our wedding on Mariner. I made no requests other than it be vanilla. It was really tasty - we had the leftovers delivered to our room after the reception, and we ate it for a couple of days. :)

tiffanylynch Posted May 22, 2008 #29 Share Posted May 22, 2008 Racy817, If you find that out please let me know. I definitely also want to bring my own cake topper and flowers but dont want to go to all the effort if that stuff is all over the sides of the cake. tiffany912s@msn.com
rellie2002 Posted May 26, 2008 #30 Share Posted May 26, 2008 tiffanylynch--- Thanks! I brought the flowers with me. I had Angel from AngelsAccents create the topper and then I got some extra loose flowers from her so that I could decorate the cake how I wanted to. I also added extra flowers to the top of the topper when I received it from Angel. The day of the wedding, the wedding staff onboard the ship arranged the flowers on the cake for me and they really did a good job, it was just how I wanted it to be :)

SanNic44 Posted June 2, 2008 #32 Share Posted June 2, 2008 Wow, those cakes look great and what a great idea for a thread! Makes me hungry, though. Have to do a renewal of vows or something to have a good excuse to get another cake.
Slippinx12 Posted July 28, 2008 #33 Share Posted July 28, 2008 I found these pictures of cruise ship cakes somewhere along the way. Sorry I don't remember where I found them on this board, but they are nice to look at anyway!
Slippinx12 Posted July 28, 2008 #34 Share Posted July 28, 2008 We took the standard size cake that came in our package. It said "wedding cake for two" but what we got served twenty! We served a piece to the guests that wanted one and we had a quarter of our cake leftover. Our cake was chocolate sponge, with raspberry filling and chocolate buttercream frosting. I asked that it be decorated in white. I had no idea what it would look like but was pleased with the result.

Karen_and_Andy Posted August 8, 2008 #37 Share Posted August 8, 2008 Slippinx12, what a cool cake! I love the white detailing, and it is a great contrast to the chocolate icing.
jdybnsn Posted August 8, 2008 #38 Share Posted August 8, 2008 This is ours...we got married on Grand Cayman with Grand Old House. I bought the sandcastle topper from Weddingwhimsy...picture of the actual cake did not come out so good sorry - but it was decorated with white chocolate sea shells (bit of a beach theme going on !);
J's Gal Posted August 9, 2008 #39 Share Posted August 9, 2008 Here is a picture of our cake onboard the Carnival Conquest. (Although it seems that someone took the liberty to post a picture of our cake themself- a few posts up.)
bermuda triangle Posted August 29, 2008 #40 Share Posted August 29, 2008 Caribbean Princess 8/16/08. Lemon filling with almond fondant. It was simple and tasty, cake for two, obviously could have easily served more. Laura
