greatuncle Posted September 14, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 14, 2004 Looks like TD11 is forcing the Golden to miss its scheduled stop at St Kitts today as it's now bound for Dominica. The webcam has "gone down" since it showed that message, but hoping it will be back on line at daybreak - now back up again at 0929 GMT. This is the last time I let my wife cruise during the hurricane season!!!! Still, as long as the sea is not too choppy she can enjoy a day at sea and catch up on her backlog of reading. greatuncle Posted September 14, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted September 14, 2004 Dear lostdart58. Thank you for you humour - you're right I am intensely jealous (but looking forward to Hawaii in April 05) and she is having a great time with her sister. They obviously left St Thomas just in time. By the way, have just spoken with the purser's desk on GP and the ship is now going to Dominica today, Barbados tomorrow and then back to normal route. Never a dull moment what? lostdart58 Posted September 14, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 14, 2004 Yes, I watched the "golden" sail out of St Thomas harbour last evening................. .....I have an interest, you see, as I board the "golden" myself on Sunday. .....even us islanders need a cruise sometimes!!:)
spongerob Posted September 14, 2004 #5 Share Posted September 14, 2004 If there was any place I'd want to be during a big storm or hurricane, it would be at sea. At least you've got somewhere to run. Let's hope things don't get too rough "down island".
