OceanQueen Posted January 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2008 We will be cruising the end of March to these places and my DD and grandchildren will be with us. They would really love to swim with the dolphins. Is this possible at these places? Any info would be appreciated.
Michigander native Posted January 14, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 14, 2008 depending how young your grandchildren are, I would be cautious about taking them too far into Jamaica. You should research the island before thinking of taking them. Even cozumel would be a better place for an excursion than Jamaica. Just my opinion. I have a 18 & 15 year old and I will not take them too far from the boat on that stop. Thanks for asking.
drew sailbum Posted January 15, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 15, 2008 The Cayman Islands do not have any Swim With a Dolphin locations. Dolphins are not regular inhabitants of our water, and only occasionally pass through the area.
smittyfen Posted January 17, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2008 Be careful in Jamaica. The natives approached us constantly putting necklaces on us and giving us carvings with our name and demanding donations. They also approached our 20 yr old son and my husband to buy drugs. Women tried to sell their services to my son for $7. Our 18 yr old daughter who isn't afraid of anything was very uncomfortable with how the people were to us
