We are on the Summit this fall and the ship overnights in Venice. The brochure says board in PM. We want to spend the whole day in Venice and board around dinner time. Has anyone done this? Is there a time that all passengers must check in? Thanks for your help.

Hi Fan,

We ended our cruise in Venice, and had a day in port aboard the ship as you note. We were debarked at the usual time, with most folks off by 10:30A or so, but there had been a traffic accident on the only bridge to the airport, and we had a significant delay until they cleared the road. I would expect that you could board by about 11:30A, and after checking in you could go ashore until the designated time to be aboard, about a half hour before sailing. Your documents should include a specific completion time for embarkation. That is really a wonderful ship, and a great itinerary! You should have an exceptional cruise.
