lilydog76 Posted January 28, 2008 #26 Share Posted January 28, 2008 I couldnt help but add my 2cents to the stroller dialogue. I have the best small stroller that has now become my fave the Chicco Capri Stroller. I initially bought this "just on case" and rarely use my big stroller. This stroller has taken a beating and I love it!!http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?pChicco Capri Stroller roductId=2585640
Spriteshadow Posted January 28, 2008 #27 Share Posted January 28, 2008 The prices you guys are finding are great... I'm in Canada though. Add $50 to any price you find per stroller (assuming I have to get two singles, and not one twin stroller, to accomodate our twins) and that's about what I'd end up paying. Even if I get something on eBay, the shipping and duty costs eat up any savings. That's even with our Canadian dollar being pretty much at par - importers don't like passing on the savings very much. But that's ok... I have a plan. I'm going to research research research, and then if we can't get the big stroller in the car on packing day we'll buy something when we hit New York State the day before the cruise. Not only will we get what we need, cheaper than we could in Canada, but by the time we get back to the border they'll look used enough that we probably won't have to pay duty - no border guard would think they're new! I'm sure that somewhere between Buffalo and New York City we'd be able to find a toys'rus with what we need in stock. What do you all think? OnTheBrink Posted January 28, 2008 #28 Share Posted January 28, 2008 That's a good plan, I think! Perhaps you can do that thing where you order to have it ready for you to pick up at the store. Then you'll know it will be there for you.
