United Airport Parking

Just returned from the Victory 1/13-1/20 sailing. We used United Airport Parking and were VERY disappointed. My dh dropped ds and I off at the port with luggage and took the car to the parking area. He thought he was lost. It was almost a 1/2 hour drive from the port and the route took him through a not so nice area of Miami, with homeless people sleeping on the streets. They made him wait for a return shuttle to the ship. We got to the port around noon, wanting to get on early, and didn't end up getting on the ship until after 2 pm due to this parking situation.

On return, we called them when we got our luggage and were in line for customs. They asked us what "letter" we were standing at outside. Well, we weren't outside yet, so we didn't know. They told us to call back. When we got outside, there were no letters. That was just their way of making sure we were waiting outside for THEM. They told us to wait, they would be there in 25-30 minutes. A van with their logo drove up and we waved him down, he stopped, asked us for our ticket stub and said he wasn't there to pick us up, we'd have to wait for the next shuttle! Finally, the next shuttle came and we were crammed in like sardines. 11 people in a van with ALL that luggage piled up behind our heads. That was an uncomfortable 30 minute ride back to the parking area.

After the fact, I think it would have been worth it just to park at the port. Sure it costs more, but it's much easier and more convenient.:(
