luv2bnsun Posted January 23, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2008 Hi all. It appears that the Pride of Aloha has had an itinerary change on its sailing on 4/16/08 (at least from the time that we booked). Looks like Kona, Hilo and sailing day have been shuffled around a bit. Just thought I would pass this on....
Don Haynes Posted January 23, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2008 This happens once or twice a year. Usually a freight ship shows up and takes the dock for a few days, keeping NCLA from doing so during that time. And yes, freight takes priority over cruise ships, especially the pineapple and sugar cane ships. They arrive once a month or so, and have the right of way, as far as the state is concerned with their agriculture crop. Its not much of a bother to NCLA. They just reschedule the ports.
