jfer873 Posted January 25, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2008 I know I have seen this posted before but cannot find it. Does anyone know how much it would be to upgrade at the pier from a promenade room on the AOS to an E1/2 or to a JS??
Lynnees Posted January 26, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2008 I don't remember all the prices but in 2004 we went from JS to GS for our 12 night Med for $700. You will be very lucky if you can get an upgrade. If you're going to try be sure to be there really early so that you are first in line. I'm sailing Liberty on 2/2 and doing the same itinerary as you and it would be great if I could upgrade to a suite! Appreciate your response. rubrrick Posted January 26, 2008 #8 Share Posted January 26, 2008 I don't know about anyone else, but I have not seen a pier upgrade for the past several years. Cruising has become very popular, and the best way to get a better cabin, is to book it upfront! Rick
Happy ks Posted January 26, 2008 #9 Share Posted January 26, 2008 Every single cruise we've ever been on has been sold out, with a sign at the desk that there are no changes or upgrades available. I think if we wanted to upgrade, we'd do it ahead of time and not wait until we got to the pier. You could be setting yourself up for disappointment if you are looking forward to such an upgrade. jfer873 Posted January 30, 2008 Author #10 Share Posted January 30, 2008 A couple traveling with our group on AOS last february (same Northeast winter break week) upgraded at the pier with no problems. Had no intentions of upgrading until recently, however, due to some stressful times really decided that if we can get one we will. If not we will just keep our promenade....we alternate between balcony and promenade as we love the balcony but we love to sit and people watch as well.
