Best way to get from Airport to Marriott?

Is it easy and reasonable enough to take a cab from the Honolulu airport to the Mariott, or should I try to pre-arrange a car or take the bus? Does anyone know about how much it costs?

I'd go with a taxi. There are shuttles, which can save you a few $, but you have to wait for them to fill up and you have to wait through however many stops it is to your hotel. You can't bring luggage on The Bus, so that's out entirely. Even though a taxi will cost a smidge more, it's worth it to get out of the airport and on with the "task" of enjoying Hawaii. There are always plenty of taxis at the airport, so you don't need to arrange anything in advance unless you want to splurge on a limo ride.

we took the taxi route as there were 4 of us ...it was well over 40 dollars as traffic was terrible when we came in ... when we went back to the airport at midnight it was under 35 $$ as traffic was lighter
