Hotels near port in Jacksonville

hello everyone, was looking for a hotel in jacksonville area. Going on the Celebration, but want to get there a day earlier. Is the port in Jacksonville or some other town? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.:)

Did you have any luck finding a hotel? I posted a similar post earlier and have had no responses. When do you sail out? We are heading out of Jacksonville on Celebration the 17th of October. Good luck!

Last April I sailed out of Jax. and I stayed at the holiday Inn I-95 (airport) 1-904-741-4404 They have a cruise package in you drive there stay over night, cont. breakfast, leave your car there for the week, they provide transportation to and from ship. worked out great. Cliff

We flew into JAX. We stayed at the Hampton near the airport.

Free shuttle to the motel, $5 pp to the ship the next day.

we also stayed at the holiday inn. They have a cruise package where they get you a shuttle to and from the port and of course you can leave your car there. I think it is about $89.

Does the Holiday Inn charge you extra to keep your vehicle? If so, I may have to check into that! May be cheaper than the cheap hotel and dock parking!

no charge for parking. The $89 is a package deal. 1 room for 1 night and 2 shuttle passes. Make sure you tell them you are going on a cruise to get the deal.

Wow... great info everyone... thank you, thank you, thank you! Rather than paying $70 to park for the week, I can pay $19 more and stay one night in a hotel the night before, makes good sense to me. Thanks for the info! :o

go to hotels pre and post. do a search for jacksonville and that will help you out. there is a good site there that will link you to lots of hotels with cruise packages.
