mommywtwo Posted January 29, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2008 We were about to hand over our credit card for a March sailing of the NCL Gem out of NY (where we live, how great!?) and learned they have no in room babysitting. What to do? Is it possible to take a cruise on something other than Disney or Carnival and get in room sitting? TIA!!
MommaOML Posted January 29, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2008 Carnival does not have in-cabin babysitting. I'm sure someone will come in and tell you which line(s) do have that service. You can get babysitting at Camp Carnival after 10 pm. It's a "slumber party", so I've read.
sailinglisa Posted January 29, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 29, 2008 Celebrity and Royal Caribbean offer in-room babysitting in the evenings.....you need to arrange for it at the Purser's Desk as soon as possible after boarding.
Redheada Posted January 29, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 29, 2008 We have cruise on RCCL a couple of times with my daughter who is now 3 years old. Book with them! Even though we could not utilize the kids program (must be potty trained) we were able to book a babysitter every night for dinner. We would feed our daughter first and bath her and get her ready for bed and then we were able to enjoy a nice dinner with adults. Since we had very little breaks from her during the day - it really was a treat. Some nights the babysitter would only be there for the 2 hours and at the time our daughter was always sleeping. :) It is well worth it to go with a cruiseline that offers in room especially with younger kids.
