We are also looking for a hotel in FLL. I have never stayed at the B.W.Oceanside, however on hotels dot com even though it is listed as a 3 star hotel, the user rating was very low. Go read the reviews before making a decision

The area is very safe. The Sheraton Yankee Clipper is just next door to the north and the Marriott Harbor Beach to the south. To the east is a hi-rise condo that obstructs the sun and view from the hotel. It's an older property, built in the 50's with all exterior entrances to the rooms (no interior corridors). It's a little dated, the furniture is the same as the day they opened but for a value priced hotel it's not bad for a night.

If your staying between Thursday and Sunday you'll have no need for a rental car as the fifty cent Sun Trolley runs from10am until 10pm on those days. You can board it directly in front of the hotel and ride to the shoppes and restaurants on SE 17th Street or north to the Las Olas Boulevard connector. Not many restaurants to walk to, the Trolley fixes that.

It's a better choice then most of the value priced hotels on State Road 84.
