LadyPink Posted January 31, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2008 Afternoon! We will be sailing back to back transatlantic. Has anyone done this and will it be worth getting off the ship to explore New York or not? We won't have long and we're worried about missing the ship back! How much is a cab into Manhattan and how long does it take? If anyone has done this crossing, any timings help would be greatfully appreciated.

You may well be off the ship before 9am though. I am trying to remember how long the taxi to the city was, I am thinking about 30 minutes. Cost will be $30-$40. There is also a Cunard shuttle bus, didn't use it so can't remember details.

keela1eva2 Posted February 1, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 1, 2008 I did this last July and did an excursion which was a tour of the city and we had about 2 hours free in Macy's. It took a long time to get into the city in the morning but the return was faster. I think I paid around $50 ot $75 as I was scared to take the chance of going off on my own.
