KS Cruisers Posted February 1, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2008 I would like to know how long of a wait you had for the tender to return to the ship (Celebrity Constillation). Two years ago in GC we had a 2 hour wait in the hot sun for the return tender (about 2pm). Would really like to know if this is still the case before we get off the ship this time. Thank you, KS Cruisers
drew sailbum Posted February 1, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2008 Tender wait times are strongly dependent upon four factors: 1) Sea conditions. When it's rougher, it takes longer to load and unload the tender. 2) The number of ships sharing your tender pier. Fewer ships tendering to the same pier means more tenders can dock and be loading and unloading at the same time. 3) Ship's tenders vs local tenders. The local tenders are much larger, and things go more smoothly and faster with them. 4) What time you go back to your ship. The closer you are to last tender, the longer the lines become.
