emmak8 Posted February 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2008 Has anything improved with the taxi situation ? We disembark on May 24, there will be one other (HAL) ship in port. The only way to have transportation to the airport reserved is by booking with the cruiseline? Was hoping we could do an independent booking. Advice welcome!!! I doubt you'll have a problem with getting a cab. But, if you want to look for an alternate, you have a couple of choices. #1) The "AIRPORTER" bus. Leaves from a number of locations downtown http://www.yvrairporter.com/ #2) Public Transit. Check Google Maps (put in the route "Canada Place Vancouver BC" to "YVR" and then click "Take Public Transit"). It takes about an hour, but it's only $3.75. Also, on May 24, there are THREE ships in, two at the Canada Place dock (HAL & Princess), one at Ballantyne (RCL). options #1 and #2 are a lot easier from Canada Place, from Ballantyne you'll probably want to take a cab. BCHappyGal Posted February 3, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 3, 2008 If you are in at Canada Place and want a cab but do not want to wait in the crusie ship cab line up just take the elevator up a floor to the Pan Pacific Hotel (Located on top of the crusie ship terminal) level and let t he doorman get you a cab.....
