iduck Posted February 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2008 Is there a port where I can have a picture taken of me on an alaskan dog sled without having to experience it?
Metlakatla Posted February 3, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2008 Sure; come over to my house and I'll take a photo of you with my lead dog. Or you could send me a picture of yourself and I could just photoshop you in there.

Metlakatla Posted February 3, 2008 #6 Share Posted February 3, 2008 Oh of course, and larger too; we send it down all time. We have a fish farm in our back yard; it's out here somewhere: Here's our crew: And our leader:
Anomie Posted February 3, 2008 #7 Share Posted February 3, 2008 Oh, this is too much fun. I believe there is a little booth at the top of Mount Roberts where they take your picture in front of a green screen then photoshop you into whatever improbable Alaskan adventure you choose. Manna alert, says I... Metla, is that the prince with that 'but? :p:p

Anomie Posted February 4, 2008 #16 Share Posted February 4, 2008 They're cute! But meese scare the crud out of me... particularly the babies because you know momma's not far, and momma meese are always angry.
Metlakatla Posted February 4, 2008 #17 Share Posted February 4, 2008 Those don't look like any Sharpeis I've ever seen before. Well yeah; they're a cross between a Sharpei and a moose. We have to keep our bloodlines fresh around here.

Metlakatla Posted February 4, 2008 #19 Share Posted February 4, 2008 They're just learning but so far they're doing fairly okay. The only real problem is that they have longer legs than the other pups so I have to adjust the harnesses to make sure no one gets kicked in the face. Anomie Posted February 4, 2008 #21 Share Posted February 4, 2008 Well, you know what they say... if you're not the lead dog, the view never changes. Hmm... looking at those advertisements makes me want to ESCAPE COMPLETELY! I wonder if they would ever say anything if I booked an Alaska cruise. Prolly no one would even notice. Not that I would.
