looking for Blue Lagoon excursion

I'm looking for an excursion to the Blue Lagoon for a day at the beach with snorkeling. Someone on this site posted that they had done it years ago and have been trying to find out more about it. We will be in Nassau in April and thought that a day in the hammocks would be relaxing. Can you take a ferry or taxi to this place? Please give me any info available.

We did this excursion several years ago when we stopped in Nassau. We looked into it again for our upcoming cruise, but we found out that there is a sale pending on property, so the beach isn't open. Right now the only excursions offered are dolphin encounters. That's a bummer, because we really enjoyed the beach trip!

The Beach is closed, but the dolphin encounter is still available.

The owners of the island have been negotiating a deal with outside tour vendors for some time now.. but no opening date as yet. I'm sure it won't be this season..

Now I understand why a trip there is no longer offered. We loved the Lagoon. It was perfect water and very clear. I had that it is closed.
