Port of Monte Carlo - dock there?

Hi. If it says Monte Carlo in the itinary does it mean you actually dock there so can walk off into the town or is another port used? I am looking at 10th October 2008 14 night on Ventura.Thanks for your help in advance. Hollyanna

You go ashore in a tender, the dock is full of luxury yachts... and not large enough for a cruise ship.

However you can walk up to the old town and the palace area from there and walk around the harbour ( past the yachts) to the area where the famous casio is... and walk the route of the grand prix.

Last year when we were there they were setting up the roads ready for the grand prix.:)
