Calacas & papel picado?

I'll be sailing on Vision of the Seas to Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta later this month and was wondering if either of those ports have good places to shop for calacas (Day of the Dead figurines) or papel picado decorations?

 

We're planning a family celebration this year but haven't found any appropriate calacas so far.

I've seen calacas in many shops in PV. The papel picado must be for sale someplace, because I see it used all over. Perhaps go to the little souvenir market right at the pier and ask a local where to go.
