Any sightings of US Navy ships in St. Thomas

We've been to St. Thomas probably 8 times. We were going thru some pictures from our first cruises there dating to 1980 and noticed pictures of many USN ships in port thru about 1995. Always thought it was cool seeing the ships anchored around the island. Don't remember seeing any the last 10 years. Wonder if the Navy doesn't use the area like they use to.

Islander, thank you for posting that link. My daughter's boyfriend is active Navy so he would flip if he seen a Navy ship offshore!! :eek: As a proud American, I wouldn't mind seeing one there either. :)
