Anyone do a Carnival snorkeling or diving excursion in Belize? How was it?

We did the Goff's Caye snorkel tour from the Miracle and liked it very much. We are beginners. The boat took us to GC and let off those who didn't want to snorkel, then we went out to a reef area [still within sight of the island], where we spent probably about 45 minutes to an hour [?]. We then went back to GC and spent about another hour or so just lazing around. Some people went out snorkeling with one of the guides from the beach during that time.

GC is a tiny [maybe about the size of a football field] island with no facilities, although when we were there, a "barge" with restroom and snacks was anchored and there was an officer of some kind [park service?], and there is a small picnic-type shelter.

We don't usually do ship's tours but, like you, wanted to avoid tendering in only to go back out again to snorkel. I'd do it again in a minute!

One neat thing was that when we sailed away, we went right by GC - we wanted to "jump ship"!!
