typical st. martin

We will be spending a sunday in March in St. Martin. Are there any small towns or villages which could give us an idea of life on this island? Or any other typical experience? Thank you.

I would recommend Grand Case. It is so beautiful there...and yes, it has that little village feel to it. It was recommended to us by a local lady we chatted with at Orient Beach. We had lunch here at a "lolo". It's BBQ done by the locals....great food and good prices. Behind the lolo's there is the picturesque calm bay.

boquer, you are very welcome. Happy to help. :) If I were to do a land vacation in St. Martin, Grand Case is where I'd stay. Lots of restaurants too in addition to the lolo's. We rented a jeep and drove all over the island...Grand Case and Friar's Bay Beach were my 2 fav stops. Not the usual stops for cruise travelers.
