Input Requested: Isla Verde Beach in San Juan

We'll be going to San Juan - our first port of call - aboard the Millenium in a couple of weeks, and would like to spend part of the afternoon at a nearby beach.

 

I have been trying to find a beach that's easy to get to and has a few services; the one I came up with is Isla Verde. Input regarding this beach and the cost to get there from the port would be much appreciated.

 

I just want to go to a beach, get my toes wet and spend a couple of hours there - not all day. Afterwards, I'd like to do a little shopping near the port. We arrive in Puerto Rico in the afternoon and sail out around 8pm. I envision us heading back to the ship around 5pm.
