Woodfaerie Posted February 12, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2008 Our family will have about 6 hours to occupy ourselves once we disembark the Legend to the time we head to the airport for our evening flight home to CT. Any suggestions about what to do with our luggage as we puruse the streets of Tampa for the day?
DisneyCruiser76 Posted February 12, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2008 Our family will have about 6 hours to occupy ourselves once we disembark the Legend to the time we head to the airport for our evening flight home to CT. Any suggestions about what to do with our luggage as we puruse the streets of Tampa for the day? We were in this same situation one time, so we went ahead and drove to the airport, checked our bags, and headed off to see Raymond James Stadium, and to have lunch! Later, we just returned the rent car right there at the airport and caught our flight home.
ali6879 Posted February 12, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2008 Tampa wouldn't take our luggage unless it was 3 hours or less away from our flight in July. We sat and waited til that point happened. Try and go to the aquarium right outside the port - I believe the ship mentioned that they had luggage storage there. michelle2 Posted February 12, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 12, 2008 When we got off the Legend in June I saw signs in the port building directing you to luggage storage. We didn't use this service, so I'm not sure of the details. Maybe someone who used this will post more details.
candelle Posted February 12, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 12, 2008 We're in a similar situation to you, but at Miami. We're disembarking in Miami and our flight is at 9.40 in the evening. We are desperately trying to find somewhere to leave the luggage for the day. So far, Carnival say that can't help us, the port can't help us and I am waiting for a response from the Miami tourist board. We can't fit all our luggage in the trunk of a hire car and won't leave it on view, so that's out. On our last cruise in December, we went to the airport and left our cases there, taking a shuttle bus to a nearby mall for the day, but don't want to do that again. Any other ideas anyone?
