Yet Another Question about balcony discounts

I'm sure this has been asked before but I couldn't find anything in old threads.

I'm considering booking a cruise in Oct. and I'm currently at Platinum level, if I reach Diamond before Oct. can I get the higher discount off the balcony cabin if I call and ask for a price adjustment or do I have to be Diamond when I book for the $200 savings?

You can get the additional discount after you book . Once you become Diamond call and they will adjust it
