wheals Posted February 17, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2008 :) We will be staying at Hotel El Convento pre-cruise. Any recommendations for dinner on arrival at the hotel and breakfast the next morning? Reservations needed? We are interested in dining options that would be within walking distance from this hotel and casual dining! Thanks for your help or suggestions!:)
Coqui2007 Posted February 18, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2008 Hi Tapas bar in the hotel is very good. Other options include: Parrot Club, Tantra, Dragonfly (Fortezela Street) Al Dente, Carli's close to the cruise docks (within walking distance of the hotel) Breakfast - got to go to la Bombonera (OSJ classic) Have fun Coqui @ http://www.visit-the-coqui.com

toonjie Posted February 18, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2008 As mentioned above, Parrot Club for dinner and La Bombonera for an authentic Puerto Rican breakfast and some really strong coffee!
Lsimon Posted February 18, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 18, 2008 I'll second the Tapas Bar in El Convento. We also had a group dinner at Barrachinas which was nice. We're thinking of trying the Red Parrot or Dragonfly next time as we've heard nice things about those restaurants. We had breakfast at the hotel (El Convento) but don't remember much about it. We're staying at another hotel on our upcoming trip and will consider your recommendations of La Bombonera for breakfast but will someone tell me what "an authentic Puerto Rican breakfast" is?
