rogerdm Posted September 21, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2004 Are there any available on the Connie? I have a relative that will need one.
chessbriar Posted September 21, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 21, 2004 They are not available on the ship, but there are companies in some of the port cities that rent them out. I have read on these boards about one in Galveston and one in Vancouver. Try www.cruiseshipassist.com
nursewurmy Posted September 21, 2004 #3 Share Posted September 21, 2004 You can contact the above link, and they will have it waiting in the room for you. When you get to the port they will have people to wheel you in a wheelchair to your room. Then you leave it in your room and they will wheel you out at the end of the cruise. We found it was cheaper to look in galveston for a local medical supply that does the same thing. It was about 150.00 for the cruise cheaper than what the above link offers. One thing...make sure you get one that is sturdy enough to go off the ship. They have several types.
