Rivercat Posted February 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2008 I've signed up for two tours with RCI: Sierra Madre, Concordia & Copala in Mazatlan and Town, Country & Tequila in Puerto Vallarta. Are jeans appropriate for these tours? Since I believe at least one stop includes a church, I don't want to be disrespectful.
lvtotrvl1 Posted February 18, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2008 Personally I would rethink jeans for a few reasons....they probably will be a little warm..plus I wuld not visit a church in another country in jeans. Maybe a pair of capris, or if you want to wear pants , a pair of khakis might be more comfortable.

bhopal21 Posted February 18, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2008 Actually jean are appropriate for the tours and were needed by some last week as it was a little chilly. Our guides had on jackets, which I joked about since I thought it was rather pleasant. The churches we visited had signs saying "no shorts" and sadly they were ignored by a lot of people. SharB Posted February 18, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 18, 2008 Rivercat: You will be fine with jeans - as long as you aren't too warm in them. I've done the equivalent of those tours and you'd blend in, no prob. Shar
Rivercat Posted February 18, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted February 18, 2008 Thanks everyone for the advice! I actually ran by the mall today at lunch and found a couple pairs of capris that don't make me look like a charging elephant (on sale, even!), so I have a back-up plan in case the Mazatlan temps stay in the 90s :D
