Captain Marvins

We recently booked a stingray tour with Captain Marvins. We booked the 8:00 tour so that my husband and I could go diving after. We have done the stingray tour several times but had finally convinced my 83 year young parents to come along. My mother is not a strong swimmer and was really not sure that she was going to enjoy the experience.

We had a delay in waiting for the 600 passenger tender to fill and so did not arrive at Captain Marvins until 8:35, just after the bus left. The girls at the store said they would be happy to rebook us on the 10:00 tour but then my husband explained that we had a dive scheduled in the afternoon. They sprung into action and found us another bus that would take the 4 of us to the boat to join the others.

When we were on our way to the stingrays we told Keith that my mother was a little hesitant. He took her under his wing and as we arrived at the sandbar he lifted her off the boat and carried her into the water like a bride over the threshold!! She had the time of her life!! We asked her several times if she would like to get back in the boat but the answer was always "no". Since our return she has done nothing but talk about her adventure with the stingrays. We are eagerly awaiting the video from CJ. It is something they will never forget. Captain Marvins whole crew couldn't do enough for us. We feel that we would not have gotten this kind of individual attention had we booked the cruise line tour. We can't say enough about everyone involved with our tour. Captain Marvins is a class act.

They are awesome. Our first time there was on a cruise, and we booked with CM's. I had no intention of snorkeling. I just wanted to ride along. Well, one of the young crewmen on the boat told me I really should try it. He said I'd love it..and he was right. Had he not encouraged me to give it a try, I would have missed on of the most amazing experiences of my life. The snorkeling trip is now the first thing I book...I just think it's such a fun thing to do. :)

We use CM's whenever we're on the island. The DVD is really cool. They hand-delivered ours to our condo, exactly when they said they would.

They do go above and beyond for their customers. We were in there one day reserving a tour, and they were busy shuffling around some times so cruisers could make their excursions. Before the cruisers got off the ships, they found out that they would have to be back on ship earlier than was planned (a storm was coming). Ruth and Joan so patiently answered all my first-time questions. They were such a huge help!

Glad you had a great time! :)
