twopugs Posted February 21, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2008 in relation to where the cruise ships tenders drop you off? For example, we are looking at booking through carnival or an independent snorkel trip through Captain Bryan, Native Way, or Moby Dick. Once you are there, do these pick you up by bus, van or taxi OR do you walk to where the snorkel boat departs?
caymanjohn Posted February 21, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2008 The ones you list, as far as I know, pick up in buses from the cruise terminals. Some others actually board you right in town for sites like the Cali. These may not be up to date but they give an indication - Don Fosters - Hog Sty Bay. Nautilus - Rackam's Pub. Jolly Roger - South Terminal. Kirks Sea Tours - Hammerheads.
joyadvtr Posted February 23, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2008 We booked privately through Captain Marvins ( they have their own website just google it.) It is about a 5 min walk from the cruise ship pier. You check in.You can also buy your own snorkel gear there for about $28 or if you want to add a camera in with it I think it was $38 Anyway you check in / pay. A bus comes to pick you up. You take a 20 minute drive to the dock. You climb aboard a very large yacht with very experienced crew ( 2) very friendly informative and helpful. You then cruise out about 1/2 hour. They took us to 3 places and had us back in plenty of time. We could have gone shopping but we were too tired. We had a great time and they were very reliable operators.
