Sold Out Cruise???

We are scheduled on the Thanksgiving Sailing of the Glory. Everyone tells me that these holiday trips sell out, yet I still see many cabins available on the Carnival website. Does this mean that they may still lower prices in order to sell out or is there something I'm not getting?

We were on the Glory for Easter last year and some categories did sell out (like ours), while others didn't and those cat's only dropped in price. Usually on a holiday when children are off school you find triples & quads selling out and they have trouble filling the doubles or high end suites.
