gadyer Posted September 23, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2004 Has anyone done the mini boat tour on St. Thomas. The desriptions the cruiselines give is limited. What did you think? Do you remember who provided the excursion? Greg
Guest tealady Posted October 1, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 1, 2004 Just wondering if you have found any more information on the mini boat tour? We are also interested in this for our Nov 6th cruise on Volendam. Jan
Guest tealady Posted October 1, 2004 #3 Share Posted October 1, 2004 I just did a google search and found these pics of the mini boats. I assume these are the ones used in the excursions. Looks like a cross between a ski doo and a rubber dingy. http://www.cdislands.com/photos_usvi/stt5/xst50632.jpg http://www.cdislands.com/photos_usvi/stt5/xst50405.jpghhttp://www.cdislands.com/photos_usvi/stt5/xst50619.jpg http://www.cdislands.com/photos_usvi/stt5/xst50630.jpg http://www.cdislands.com/photos_usvi/stt5/xst50405.jpg
The Islander Posted October 4, 2004 #4 Share Posted October 4, 2004 I had looked some info. up earlier this year and here is what I had gotten: "They are 12 ft center console apex inflatables they leave out of Saga haven marina. They hold 2 people. Must be at least 12 years old to take the trip, and 18 to drive. You are escorted out to Christmas Cove on Great Saint James (30 - 45 min ride) Stop for a 1 hour snorkel stop. Then head back to the marina. Rum punch is served when you get back. It is a new company that just started last November. People seem to love it." --Islander *****
