At the bar then take it to one of the quiter common areas of the ship (Dawn) such as the game room or the reading/writing room to share with my friends?

By the same token if I bring a bottle on board (paying the fee of course) could I do the same?

We bought a bottle and when we did not drink it all, they capped it and stored it for us. They gave a little receipt and we were able to retrieve it the next evening at dinner. You can aske from any bar on the ship and they will get your bottle of wine for you. Really great service.
