Canadian Rockies

Has anyone done an Alaska cruisetour through Celebrity, RC or other line doing the Canadian Rockies as the landtour part. I would love to hear all the details. Thanks!

You can do it yourself the train trip thru the Rockies is on "The Rocky Mountaineer" or another option is rent a car and drive it. Beautiful trip either way.

 

The Rocky Mountaineer is not cheap but I have heard nothing but rave reviews about travel on that train.

We did the Rocky Mountaineer last August and loved it but we had done a 7 night coach trip from Calgary to Vancouver a couple of years before that. IMHO the coach trip was much better as we saw much more and had chance to get off and see the different sights. The guide was very informative too. The train was great but you flash past places quickly.

We also did a landtour through the Rockies stopping at Banff and Jasper among other places. We found it much better than a rail tour as the driver was able to take us off the beaten track which the train never could and we got to stop at more places along the way. You will never get bored with all that beautiful scenery in Canada! it's a fantastic place to travel through.

We did the escorted Canadian Rockies tour including the Rocky Mountaineer train from Jasper to Vancouver through Princess. The trip was just awesome and first class all the way.
