Which Rum to buy in Grand Cayman

Ok, I have to ask if anyone knows which Rum is considered the best to buy in Grand Cayman? I've heard alot regarding Tortuga's and Blackbeard's, but I've just received a recipe for Rum Punch on my thread, and it calls for coconut rum, so any input would be greatly appreciated! I want to use a good quality Rum for the rum punch mix that I'll be buying, and for the punch recipes, that I would also like to try this summer.:) :)

Last cruise I bought Cruzan...but that was an Eastern Caribbean cruise....it's made in St. Croix. Not sure if that's the rum you would find in the Cayman's. We got a good deal on a 4 pack on the ship and brought home a variety of flavors...banana was my favorite.

You can buy Cruzan in any liquor store. Get the tortuga rum in the Cayman Islands. It is the best. I really like the mango rum!! But they have banana, coconut, pineapple ,spiced rum and more. When you buy it they will box it up and deliver it to your ship. You will get it the night before you leave in your room. Just check your alcohol allowances for customs purposes.

As already mentioned, Tortuga is a good deal.. and yummy! My husband is an airline pilot and he goes to the Cayman Islands weekly... lets just say we always have a lot of Tortuga at our house! :) The coconut and the mango are excellent!
