ms simba Posted March 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2008 Any suggestions of how to buy postcards prior to the cruise I am going on (Dec 08 to Grand Cayman and Cozumel). I want to put my address labels and messages on before I go as I write MANY postcards. I do not want to spend my time on the ship writing postcards as it usually takes me about 2 hours or more to do my postcards. I want to have my postcards ready way before I get to port. When I go to Disney, I make my postcards by hand or use the ones I bought there on my last trip. I usually type the generic saying "Having a great time, blah, blah, blah" Then I write a personal note about the trip below. If you don't know where I could buy postcards beforehand, maybe you could post some of the postcards you have of Cozumel or the Grand Caymans or email me some scans of these postcards. Jungle Jane Posted March 3, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2008 I understand your wanting to be prepared, I thought about doing the same thing you did. What I found is that I preferred to wait till after we'd been at a port so I could buy postcards that looked like places we'd actually been. For instance I saw post cards of white sandy beaches in Grand Cayman, but that's not what we did there. I settled for simply bringing preprinted address labels, then scribbled a quick "Wish you were here!" before sending. The few we sent were only recently received and we've been home for 3 weeks! I am glad I kept most of the post cards we bought for myself.
