Bdm1962 Posted March 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2008 My DW and kids (boys 11 & 12) will be in St. Lucia later this month. As part of our pre-trip planning, we are looking to do some hiking in the rain forest. Most of my research says that we should hike the Barre De L'isle Trail. Has anybody been on this trail before? I'm not too worried about difficulty, as we are an active family. I was just wondering if anybody has been on this trail? It sounds like a pretty popular trail. We were hoping to see some nice vegetation and some unique wildlife. I know that there are more remote trails, but we are looking to spend about 3 hours on the trail, not the entire day. Also, is this the kind of trail that we can hike in tennis shoes or should we bring our hiking boots. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
