newbie question

We will be boarding the Sapphire Princess in Whittier for our very first cruise ever. If we purchase a bottle or two of alcohol and put in our luggage what are the chances it will make it to our room? Should it be in our carry on or in our checked luggage? We are doing a princess tour prior to boarding the ship so we arrive via princess train.

Buy it in a plastic bottle if possible, wrap it in bubble wrap and place them in checked baggage and you have about a 99.95% chance of it comming to your cabin. Here is a link to another thread on the topic.
