If so, what parts of the Aloha deck seemed more quiet Were were in a forward stateroom below the Horizon Court (Aloha 217) on the Coral and yes, there were definitely some galley noise overnight, around 3-4 in the morning, that frequently woke us up. We sailed on her on the January 26th, 2008 Panama Canal sailing and really enjoyed both the ship and itinerary.:) The foward cabins on Aloha deck are fully covered by the overhang of the Horizon court above. We were in cabin A226, a great location for the buffet and lido deck pools, but we did hear some noise/movement from the Horizon Court above in the wee hours of the morning form the sound of the rubber wheels of the trolleys on the tile floor above when the staff was setting uo the breakfast buffet. It bothered me for a couple of nights but after that we both slept through. You would also hear it sometimes during the day. In addition, immediately across from A224 and A226 is an entrance to a service galley which was noisy (voices of crew talking and laughing at midnight can be a nuisance) as there was no sound proof door to close as we have seen on some other ships. A passesnger I met in the hallway in cabin A218 complained bitterly about the noise from the Horiuzon Court above. In short, if you are a very light sleeper, avoid the 200 series Aloha deck cabins. Tip: A bulkhead separates cabins A226 and A302 which places cabins A302 and higher away from the Horizon Court and not under it. ScotusBoy Posted March 4, 2008 #8 Share Posted March 4, 2008 Hi Putterdude, Your cabin on Baja deck has cabins above it on Aloha deck and cabins below it on Caribe deck so no noise from public rooms will bother you. Also, there are inside cabins across from B627 so you will not have noise from a service galley to contend with. IMO, the cabin walls are well soundproofed between cabins and we heard no noise inside our cabins from our neighbours. Of course, you will hear your neighbours on their balcony when you are on your balcony. Have a wonderful cruise on this excellent Princess ship.
