Sailfish Posted March 5, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2008 We may be cruising on the Glory this summer in July. As we are from California, we are not clear as to what kind of weather we can expect in late July - lots of rain perhaps? Some input as to how the weather may affect our cruise would be helpful. We usually cruise the Caribbean in the winter when we can count on good weather, but have never thought of going to the Caribbean in the summer until now. We will be in FLA on business and thought about going on a Western Caribbean cruise. We hear all about the hurricanes, but I don't recall if July is of some concern. Thanks in advance for your input. iluvdoxies Posted March 5, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2008 Yes it's still hurricane season, but cant remember any in July. It's really hot and humid in Cozumel in the summer.
2boys2girls Posted March 5, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 5, 2008 We live in south Florida and we took our 1st cruise this past July Western Caribbean. Although July is in hurricane season, the peak time for hurricanes generally starts in August. We traveled at the beginning of July and although the temp was pretty warm, the seas were very calm and the skys were blue throughout our trip...we had perfect weather!! That being said, weather is unpredictable, so there's no guarantee but I would definitely book another cruise for the summer months of June or July!!:)
