Guarantee Cabin is there a figure it out trick?

On Carnival there is a workaround to find out what cabin you are in before your told. Is this same workaround available on Celebrity? I've already received my docs (changed to a guarantee after for a discount and with a prayer that the upgrade fairy would visit) with my old cabin listed. I suppose this means that I will be assigned at the pier but I'm curious of others experiences.

We're in the same boat (pun intended), superdrews. Had a great cabin secured since October, then found the discount about 10 days ago, phoned TA to ask about it, and she made the switch without getting back to me. I had no idea that accepting the discount would throw us into GTY status, and I probably would have stayed where I was if the TA hadn't made the switch. The discount was about $500. Nice, but not worth it due to the uncertainty. We're sailing on the Millennium in May.

I'd like to hear how others have fared with GTYs.

Do your online documents. IF the cabin has been assigned, you can see it there.

Or you can go into my reservations on the X site

You will have to register, but once you do, you can keep an eye on the assignment.

Thanks for the tips! It looks like I got inside 4141 on the Century. With a Guarantee once assigned does it ever change? It appears that my prayers to the upgrade fairy didn't come through!
That is your cabin unless it have a feature that is not available in other cabins and someone else needs it. You are likely going to be in that cabin
