LKM1025 Posted March 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2008 Hi, Just booked on the Ecstasy on May 12th and I was wondering if anyone has experience booking a limo from Houston Hobby to the Port at Galveston?

LKM1025 Posted March 11, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted March 11, 2008 Okay Thanks! I wasn't sure which company to use, so it's nice to have a recommendation from someone who has actually done this.
IlliniCruiser88 Posted March 31, 2008 #4 Share Posted March 31, 2008 Just returned from 7 days on RCCLs Voyager of the Seas. We contracted with Galveston Limousine to take us to/from Hobby Airport at a cost of $60 per person (discount for seniors and children) round trip. Here's a few pros/cons to consider while thinking of the Galveston Limo: - While the Galveston Limo employees are pleasant, there are cheaper and more convenient options. Most cab companies will take you directly from Hobby or your nearby hotel to the Pier for $85 one way. You can get a minivan to take 4-5 of you from one of the taxi companies for $170 plus tip round trip. Compare this to $240 for four people or $300 for 5 people on Galveston Limo plus tip. - If you are staying in a hotel close to the airport the taxi company will pick you up at the hotel and take you directly to the pier. If you use Galveston Limo, you have to go back to the airport to meet the bus. - Regardless of the reservation time you get for your Galveston Limo bus, the bus goes when it is full. We waited on the bus for over an hour until it filled up and then left. - the Galveston terminal is chaos. They only allowed one bus to empty at a time, so we were in line behind another bus waiting for it to empty. This meant we were on the bus for 2.5 hours total for a 45 minute bus ride. This isn't Galveston Limo's fault, but it is a reality of the Galveston terminal. - On the plus side for Galveston Limo, they were waiting for us when we returned from the cruise and had our reservation. We were the last ones on the bus, so we didn't have to wait, and it was a quick ride back to Hobby. - Another plus was that the drivers were very courteous and gave us some interesting tour information on the ride to Galveston. They also showed a movie on the way down, and the bus was quite comfortable. If we had taken the yellow taxi minivan, we would have gotten door to door service (hotel to pier), no wait at either end, and saved $200 (we had 9 people - would have needed 2 minivans ($340) compared to the $540 charged by Galveston Limo). On the other hand, Galveston Limo was reliable and the drivers made the ride interesting. Hope this helps!
cruisinlawn Posted April 1, 2008 #5 Share Posted April 1, 2008 search for Jose Reyes. $115 for 4 of us each way in March '07. Even stopped by the local CVS so we could pick up soft drinks on the way. I'll dig up his # if you need.
