Jfeasel Posted March 12, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2008 We're a group of 11 ages 12-66 with 4 teens. We've cruised the Caribbean, Bahamas, Hawaii, Bermuda and 2 of us have done Alaska. We're looking at some different cruise ideas for the summer of 2009. Any suggestions? We wanted to do a Panama cruise, but it looks like all of the lines stay away from Panama in the summer. Is that the case? We've been on DCL, NCL, HAL, Princess and RC so the cruise line isn't that big of a deal, but the itenary is. We really liked Princess because it seemed to have a lot of stuff to do for the teens.
Spikesgirl Posted March 12, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2008 Have you ruled out somewhere like Hawaii' or Tahiti? - the Sun is doing a Hawaiian jaunt this year, so there might be the option next summer. Many of the ships are heading to Europe this summer, but that might change next year due to the sinking dollar against the euro/pound and give you more of a option. can786 Posted March 12, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2008 Alaska has a wide variety of things to do for all ages and activity levels and is a popular destination with families. We have taken our kids there twice. If only two of you have done Alaska before it would be entirely new for most of the group and IMHO one can never go to Alaska too many times. If you do a roundtrip itinerary out of Seattle the airfare can be quite reasonable. I've been three times and am looking at possibly going again next year.
