cjar855 Posted September 26, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2004 I am thinking of cruising on the Glory in Jan or Feb of 2005. Anyone have any info on the beaches in Belize? Thanks:)
robtx100 Posted September 26, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 26, 2004 When we were there last Feb. I didn't see any beaches where we tendered in Belize. I think you have to take a shuttle boat out to one of the Cayes for the beaches. Most people do either shopping or tubing in Belize. Be careful if you shop, right at the pier is safe but once you venture too far from the pier you will realize you are definitely in a 3rd world country. Does that ship bring you to Roatan, too? If so, certainly go to Tabyana Beach there. Beautiful beach, and the people are really nice.
Beth Posted September 26, 2004 #3 Share Posted September 26, 2004 Book an excursion. We were there in April and did cavetubing with x-stream. Was great. We were there again in July and just did some shopping. BIG MISTAKE!!!! We did not feel safe outside the fenced area and the shopping in the fenced area was just ok. Look under Belize on the page you go to Carnival and see what others have said and get some ideas about a good excursion you would like. I did not see a beach around the shopping area. punknhead Posted September 27, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 27, 2004 The snorkeling trip to Goff's Caye will pick you up at the Glory (no tendering), mand whisk you off to Goff's Caye. You can chose whether to snorkel from the boat or the beach. We snorkeled in April, but will enjoy the beach and this beautiful tiny island (and do some walk off the beach snorkeling) This is one of the cheaper excursions, and well worth the cost to have this island (almost) to yourself.
