Yes bossmum1, you are free to just go ashore and do your own thing like we did when we could not get the tour we wanted.We had some good times ashore although we were back on board the ship in time for the main meals. :) Roy

Thanks Roy, didnt fancy staying aboard for 12 days, have heard the excursions get booked up really quick. Is there transport into town etc. As its our first cruise plenty of questions lol. Have you any good tips regarding cruising. Got the dress code sorted.

Transport into town depends on how close the town is and whether they're allowed to (a carribean thing). I've never paid (yet!) but it seems sometimes they charge.

 

Best tip is to enjoy it. Observatory bars are usually great locations to watch the world going by.
