Tour from Halifax to Evangeline trail

We will be docked in Halifax for 9 hours. We are Cajun descent and would like to see Grand Pre', etc. Could you recommend some tour companies, since this is not a shore excursion from Carnival? Thank you from Louisiana

I am from the other coast of Canada and it has been a few years since I have been down east. However why don't you get in touch with the Nova Scotia Toruism they are very helpfull. I have a number of uncle & aunts down in NS who are of Acadian heritage.

You could try www.novascotia.com as it lists a number of touring companies that you could contact re a private tour.

I've done it. It is very much worth doing. Be sure to find the places where they have the list of ancestor's last names. You might find yours!
